Project Programme

The project timeline is a visual list of construction tasks and activities that have been arranged in chronological order, allowing the construction project manager and construction workforce to view the entire project and work with the project start time and end time. The proposed development kicks off on the 4th of June 2022 and is estimated to end on the 28th of September 2023 making the project duration be 561days which is approximately about 18months.

The project timeline includes a table showing the construction activities and the duration for each activity that is expected to be carried out as shown below.

Site Layout

The site layout plan shows a detailed layout of the whole site and its relationship of the proposed works with the boundary of the property, nearby roads, and neighbouring buildings.

Planning with the amount of space available, the layout plan has made provision for a car park, storage unit, site office and designated proposed construction space. The site layout helps to provide a safe and economical flow of materials and workers and some of its advantages is it helps increase of safety and productivity, decline areas required for temporary construction, and maximize utilization.

Site Phasing

This plan is intended to ensure that health and safety issues are properly considered during Westpack construction development, and the risk of harm to those who have to build, use and maintain structures is reduced.

CONSTRUCTION RADIUS

A radius of 150meters from the Westpack building location will have direct or indirect adverse effects from its construction activities when construction commences, some of the problems that may likely occur include:

  • Damage to nature and the built environment: Loss in serviceability of playfield and parks, Loss of habitats and parks, Loss of landscape and Pollution.

  • Dust: Cleanliness of the cars, Cleanliness of the house, Cleanliness of the neighbourhood and Cleanliness of the backyard.

  • Noise: Loss of peace and quietude of the neighbourhood, Degradation of ambient conditions and Prevention of usage of the outdoor areas of the house.

  • Traffic: Traffic congestion, Prolonged closure of road spaces, Detours and Utility cuts.

  • Human society: Road safety problems, Human health hazards, Living quality decline, Safety hazards in the area and Loss of car parking space

The below picture shows 150meter radius from Westpack buidlding Location.

The Construction Design Management Regulation 2015 defines construction area as ”any place where construction work is being carried out or to which the workers have access, but does not include a workplace within the site which is set aside for purposes other than construction work”.

The pictures below show the construction area and the space where temporary buildings will be erected for the storage unit and site office

CONSTRUCTION SITE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN

This aims at helping the construction project manager and construction workforce to manage traffic management plan on the construction site. The below to elements will be used:

Part A – Guidance document which gives an introduction and summary of the 6 sections – Information, Training, Temporary Works, Hazards, Controls and Resources (Click here to view the file)

Part B – Contains the 6 sections in an online fillable form which can be saved and printed (Click here to view the file)

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
In a quest to organise, arrange, guide and control of both stationary and moving traffic, including pedestrians, bicyclists and all types of vehicles, the traffic management plan has been created to management vehicular movement. To avoid traffic congestions or problems, the site will operate “one way system” from the project start date to project end date.

The below map shows the vehicular movement to the construction site.

DESIGNATED SITE CAR PARK

The identified area is the proposed space for private car parking space and plant parking, this is only a temporary parking space. The current space doesn’t belong to Westpack project but propose leasing the space from the current owner during the tenure of construction. An average car(10 parking space) is 2.4 m x 4.8 m, vans: 2.4 m x 5.5 m(8 vans space) and an average plant is 3.5 x 14.0m(4 plant parking). The map below shows the designated car park.
